Conclusion
Overall, the CS 490 – Mobile Robotics class gave us pretty good reviews.
No module was rated mediocre or poor (even though the wander module was not
demonstrated due to time constraints). A few people did realize this and put
N/A for a rating which is why wander doesn’t have all nine evaluation
values. Based on the feedback, we received fresh ideas that we may implement
prior to the faculty presentation. One such example was tracking a chairs location
during placement, rather than the robots location. We found this to be one of
the more valuable comments drawn from the questionnaire. It is a worthwhile
suggestion and could be implemented prior to our due date. Many of the comments
we had already considered prior to receiving feedback, therefore we discarded
redundant suggestions. From the feedback we received, we would have done reasonably
well in a presentation to the faculty. Knowing the inconsistencies that come
with robots, CS490 students may have been more lenient than faculty members
whom are not familiar with the nuances or robot programming.
