Game Rules

Some rules are slight modifications of the rules of the official Quoridor board game.

Default options:
Players: 2
Number of walls per player: 10
Board size: 10x10

Basic rules:
The player starts in his starting zone of the board (not on a square). The player also starts with walls that are 2-squares wide. The objective is to advance your own token to the other side of the board.
During your turn you may perform one of the following actions:
    - Move your token. You may move your token one square up, down, left, or right. If your token has not entered the board yet you may enter by placing your token on a square of the board next to you. This counts as your turn. You may also "jump" over another piece. When you jump over another piece you can land on any square adjacent to that piece you jumped over. That is, you may “turn in mid jump”.
    - Place a wall. You may place a wall so that it separates two squares from each other. You can not place a wall on top of another wall, where it only partially blocks two squares from each other, or where it prevents any player in the game from reaching the other side.

Winning the game:
You win when you advance your token to the goal across the board. You must reach the last row of squares on that side and then on your next turn “jump off” the board into the goal, provided that a wall is not blocking the way.
