Our client has requested a program capable of scheduling the HCI lab room to be made. This program needs to supply different capabilities to the three different types of users that will interact with it: Faculty, students, and volunteers. Faculty should be able to see which of their students have participated as volunteers for extra credit. Students should be able to view available volunteers, the volunteers availability, and the room availability. Volunteers should be given a simple method to submit information and have the forms presented in a manner that will not potentially discourage them from filling it out. This system needs to be web based so it can be readily available to each group of users. It must be capable of containing the data of all volunteers, students, and faculty. A schedule of reserved and available times needs to be preserved and be presented in a readable fashion. There needs to be some security for private data and other user specific information. Other security steps such as room/volunteer reservation limits may be added as well. Reports on volunteer participation need to be generated.
