Project Description

M.I.R. mobile intelligence robot will compete in the IEEE 2006 region 5 robotic competition. The competition consists of a replica warehouse with four rooms on each side. There will be different colored cans placed throughout the warehouse. The robot must identify the can and carry it to the correct room of the same color. MIR must correctly place as many of these cans as possible in 3 minutes.

UPDATE: The competition is took place on April 8th 2006. 37 teams attended the competion. Arkansas Tech University won, with Louisiana State University getting 2nd. Unfortunately, M.I.R. did not make the finals and thus obtained 9th place.
