Description:
The goal of the FotoGazmic team is to develop a software package that performs image enhancement for digital photographs in the TIFF format. More specifically, the FotoGazmic software package will do the following: 1. display a TIFF image on screen 2. allow the user to select a portion of the image 3. allow the user to perform an identification of the selected area - such as a face, sky, grass, sidewalk, etc. 4. give the user the option to perform an automatic or manual enhancement to the color and density of the image 5. save the enhanced image to the user's specified storage medium.

Description:
In this project, the goal is to create a networked interactive virtual environment between workstations. Specifically, two or more workstations using the same VRML platform would send identically formatted data back and forth within the confines of EB 2029, essentially allowing multiplayer PC gaming. Users would have graphical representations of each other displayed on their screens and would interact with each other in some primitive manner (e.g., tossing a virtual ball back and forth, spray painting graffiti on a shared virtual wall, playing a first-person shooter game between multiple users at different locations in the EB).

Dr. Betsy Meinz
SIUE Psychology
Description:
Dr. Betsy Meinz of the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) psychology department has designed a study which will investigate the relationship between aging and musical ability. Multiple components of musical ability, such as memory, musical knowledge, and motor skill, will be quantified to determine how aging affects the proportion in which they contribute to overall ability. The purpose of the PsyKey team's application is to automate the administration and statistical analysis of these tests.
