SIUE's Dining Services currently has a
twelve-year-old spreadsheet-based system that is used to assist with the
above-mentioned coordination, but the system has fallen into
disrepair.It is the goal of
this project, appelled ChowPower, to provide Dining Services and their
clients with the benefits of a replacement system.

| Description:
The Production Assistants have been given the task of re-engineering the production
system for the SIUE theater department. The current system uses paper forms and Excel
spreadsheets to track elements, construction procedures, materials, accounting and
budgeting information. The process of inputting and organizing data in this system is
tedious and time-consuming. We will replace this paper system with a fully online
system, redesigning forms and reports to make them much easier and quicker to use,
and allowing for easier archival and lookup of closed production elements

At the request of Steve Klein, a computer science instructor at SIU-E, we are developing
an application, which allows instructors to easily submit programming assignments and send
them to Berkeley to be analyzed by the MOSS system. We will also be formatting the
statistical information, which is returned to the instructor by MOSS
