Web Master: Francis Francis
Lead Programmer and Analyst : Anthony Fernando
Description:
The purpose of the Untouchables' senior project (CS 425 & CS 499) is to rectify the problems the users at the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) are having with the Chemical Inventory Safety and Tracking System (ChemISTS). Students in a previous CS 425 class developed this application in the fall of 1999. The problems primarily require an improvement in the system's security. Together with this task, the Untouchables are also required to add new features that will reduce the workload of the current users. One of these features is the implementation of a hand held device with possibly a bar code reader that will reduce time spent in inputting new data on to the currently existing database. The second new feature is a Chemical Exchange Program, which allows various departments to display a list of chemicals that they would like to give away. This feature should allow on and off campus users to view information about these available chemicals under the appropriate security level

Lead Analyst, Lead Interface Designer : Keith EvansKeith Evans
Lead Programmer, Lead Implementation Designer : Andrew LamonicaAndrew Lamonica
Description:
The primary purpose of this system is to provide an educational and entertaining tool for an audience that consists of a wide range of ages and abilities. The client, Dr. Jerry Weinberg, is in the process of acquiring a robot capable of being controlled remotely. The client has requested an application that will allow people to control and learn about this robot. It is required that the application provide information about the development of our project so that future engineering students will be able to learn from our experience. NORRT will also design a website that will educate the public about the field of robotics and its applications. Visitors to the web page will be able to see live images from the robot’s camera while it is online. The next advancement will allow visitors to take turns controlling the robot. Time permitting; NORRT will develop an advancement that will allow the robot to move autonomously to user specified locations within the SIUE Engineering Building
